22 is a sound-inspired experimental short film. The flaring mood follows the melody, portraying a sense of self- imagination and confusion. This short film tries to describe the state of my age at the time, as well as worries for something remote and absurd. There is a girl and an old woman in the film: the girl, at a young age, is tirelessly seeking for a suffocating state, until she hallucinates. The old woman is like an art project walking out of Kathe Kollwitz’s copperplate etching, she talks to herself melancholy. For whom she waits, we do not know.

 

When I listened to this short film’s background music- ”The Wedding Banquet ”, in my head, a number of coquettishly dressed and mysterious young and bulky men burst out in my head. They are in still and silent water, carrying a red flowery sedan chair slowly approaching me. I was enthralled by this image and decided to try something rather adventurous-to brings this dream-like and original scene to screen. I an a fervent lover of a variety of paintings; the last few black and white shots come from Kathe Kollwitz’s etching. In this etching, there is a mother looking devastated by the relentless First World War. She, like a lonely yet warm light, flickers in my heart. Thus, I used a special experiment to reinstall this scene. As the actress for this lady, I obtained a cross-generation enjoyment, echoing with the ‘light’ in my heart. When the film was shot, coincidentally, it was also my birthday. This is an age that I experienced a seemingly unsurpassable hurdle and a totally strange and unavoidable pain. This short film was conceived and completed when these feelings grew ever intense thus the film is titled by my age-22.

《廿二》是一部以声音为创作灵感的实验短片,它跟随旋律而燃烧起情绪,演绎出一种自我想象的困惑。影片试图描述现阶段年龄的状态,以及在担忧的一些遥远且荒谬的事。画面中的女孩和老妇:女孩如花的年龄,不倦地在寻找一种窒息的状态,直到出现了幻觉;老妇像是从科勒惠之铜版画走下来的饱经沧桑的艺术品,她忧伤地自言自语,不知在等待谁地归来。

 

当我第一次听到《喜宴》这首歌,画面便迸发在我脑海中:在一汪孤寂的水中,数个着装妖冶而神秘的轻壮男子抬着大红花轿徐徐逼来。我对这个画面着了迷,冒险而坚持的将这个梦一般的场景实现。平日也迷恋各种各种绘画,片中最后几个黑白的镜头来源于柯勒惠支的版画,画中饱经一战摧残蹂躏而伤恸慈悲的母亲像盏温暖孤寂的灯在我心中摇摇曳曳,于是将此场景复原;而身为演绎者的我,也得到了一次跨越时间的享受,与心中的「灯」呼应。拍片恰逢生日,这个年岁于我是一种想不开的坎与脱胎换骨般避之不及的痛苦,而短片的内容也是在如此的状态下生发,遂已年岁作为名称——廿二。
